Autism is an impairment that affects the way children perceive the world around them. It comes in many forms and generally, Autism is identified as being part of a group of disorders known as autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Children with Autism usually have a difficult time having normal social interactions.
Treating and caring for children with Autism costs the nation over $35 billion each year with that figure expected to rise significantly within the next decade. It is believed that Autism affects 1 in 110 children and 1 in 70 boys. The saddest part is that there is no cure for Autism and all figures show that Autism prevalence is on the rise. For these reasons and more, Mike Imber and Kimbo Slice are collaborating to raise money and awareness in order to fight Autism.
