“Suckadelic” started off by producing a bootleg StarWars Break Beat album and art toys like the Gay Empire Homotrooper.
With tag lines on the packaging that read “You're an Asshole for Buying This”, one could argue that Suckadelic never really tried to “win fans over.” In fact, Morgan Phillips (also known as The Suck Lord), the head of Suckadelic, first made urban toys that he admits were produced out of the frustration of not being able to create quality toys while the urban toy movement was well underway.
But with bootleg Star Wars characters like Galactic Jerkbag, The Gay Empire Homotrooper and Sucklord 600, The Suck Lord and the Suckadelic label have created a brand of urban toy that has surpassed the medium and broken through to prestigious art houses such as Christie’s.
The Gay Empire Homotrooper is Suckadelic’s top selling "toy" and one of the few characters that can still be purchased online (if you're lucky) from Suckadelic.com
