Atlanta rapper and recent reality show celebrity, Da Brat, real name Shawntae Harris was sentenced to three years in prison with seven years of probation and 200 hours of community service.

The prison sentence is the result of an altercation the rapper had with a waitress at Studio 72, a nightclub in Atlanta owned by Jermaine Dupri. During the incident, a waitress reportedly bumped into Da Brat as she walked into the V.I.P. section of the night club. As the waitress walked away, Da Brat smashed a bottle of rum over her head, leaving deep lacerations on the victim’s face after the bottle was broken.
