New York City police have arrested a Frenchman after he scaled the New York Times building, free-climbing all the way to the roof. The 46-year-old stuntman was identified as Alain Robert. He climbed the building without the having a parachute, harness or any safety device. This isn’t the first time Robert has scaled a famous structure, he has previously climbed the Sydney Opera House in Australia and the Eiffel Tower in Paris. As he was arrested Robert carried a banner that read “Global warming kills more people than 9/11 every week.” Robert told reports that he chose to climb the NY Times Building because it is a green building.
