Our condolences go out to Sean Taylor’s family. Taylor was shot in his home, in Miami, as his wife lay next to him, reportedly hiding under the covers, while unknown assailants fatally shot Taylor.

Taylor, the Miami native and former University of Miami star player, unexpectedly died at Jackson Memorial Hospital early this morning after being responsive to doctor’s request last night, an event which everyone hoped meant that the pro football star would make it through his injury. The shooting is said to be an indication of the rising crime rates in Miami, where Taylor and his family lived.
